Bob, the youngest of seven children, was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Bowling Green State University receiving a Bachelors of Science and Biology in 1993 and a Masters degree in Educational Administration and Supervision in 2003.
He began his career as an instructor of Biology, Anatomy and Physiology for ten years, while serving as a head baseball coach. Bob has been a building principal for sixteen years, the last twelve at Defiance High School.
Bob has served on several boards past and or present, which include the Defiance Chamber of Commerce, the Sherwood State Bank, the YMCA, the Defiance Baseball Association, the Berkshire Homeowners Association, and the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention Center.
Bob and his wife Melissa are the parents of Mallory, Cooper, and Madeline. In his spare time, Bob enjoys being outdoors and umpiring.
August 1, 2019, Bob assumed the responsibilities of Superintendent of Defiance City Schools.
